Top Social Networking Apps in Lebanon: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Lebanon's social networking landscape saw notable trends across the top five applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Threads by Instagram, Inc. showed a steady pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at around 17.5K in late October before experiencing a gradual decline, ending the year at approximately 12.7K. The app maintained a robust weekly active user base, starting at 321K and witnessing fluctuations, reaching over 402K by the end of December.

Telegram Messenger from Telegram FZ-LLC experienced consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $1.6K at the end of December. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a notable increase to 21.8K during the week of December 23. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with approximately 1.7M users.

Google Meet showed a declining trend in downloads, starting with 8.5K in mid-October and decreasing to just over 900 by the end of December. Despite this, the app's active users saw a peak in late October at 167K, followed by a gradual decline to 120K by year-end.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with downloads climbing significantly towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 35.8K in the week of December 23. Active users remained stable, fluctuating around 3.9M throughout the quarter.

Facebook by Meta Platforms, Inc. generated steady weekly revenue, with a peak of $1.1K in early December. Downloads increased steadily, reaching 36.5K by late December. The app's active users also saw growth, peaking at over 2.4M in early December.
